Sara Buchwald is a junior at UW-Madison pursuing a degree in Psychology with certificate in Business. Sara is a member of the Preventing Interpersonal Violence and Overcoming Trauma (PIVOT) Lab. Her research interests include mental health outcomes associated with sexual assault, particularly in the college population. Sara is currently working on her honors thesis that examines whether a survivor’s self-blame attributions following a sexual assault mediate associations between the characteristics of the assault and the severity of a survivor’s subsequent mental health outcomes, such as depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.
