Anna Campbell: Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 3:45pm

Anna Campbell, Associate Professor, Department of Gender and Women’s Studies, and Affiliate of the Art Department and Center for Visual Cultures
“Dress Rehearsal for A Dream Sequence: On a Practice in Queer Archive-Making.”

With the February colloquium, Anna Campbell will walk us through the process of research, ideation, design, and construction for her in-process exhibit, set to open in New York in 2022. What role can creative research play in representing and shifting cultural norms?  How do people connect to objects and environments differently than other forms of media?  Is art’s primary function decoration and entertainment, and if so, does that lessen its radical potential?

This virtual event is free and open to the public.
